Pre-arrival Registration was introduced by the Hong Kong authorities in January 2017 with an aim to facilitate Indian nationals who wish to enter Hong Kong.
The PAR can be obtained by completing the quick online application which includes some simple questions regarding the applicant and their travel plans.
The following information is important in relation to the Pre-arrival Registration for Indian Nationals application process:
To travel to the HKSAR (Hong Kong Special Administrative Region) using PAR, all applicants must be Nationals of India and have an Indian Passport.
All minors have to apply for a PAR. This includes minors holding their own passport or minors featured on their parent’s passport. All Indian citizens need to obtain a PAR regardless of age.
Before boarding any form of transport bound for the Hong Kong (HKSAR), transport operators will check whether the visitor has a valid travel documentation. This will also be checked upon arrival in the HKSAR at immigration clearance.

To apply for a PAR for Hong Kong, visitors are required to have a valid passport, credit card, and email address.
Please note that all of the information provided in the online application - including name, date and place of birth, address, gender, nationality, and passport number - must appear exactly as they do on the visitor’s passport.
